Fashion and the Four Seasons

With each new season our wardrobes change. We change the colours, styles and lengths of our clothes to suite the weather the seasons bring. In the months of spring we turn to fresh new colours to bring us out of our winter shells. Colours such as pinks, blues, yellows and oranges come out in the spring months. People also start to wear lighter clothing such as skirts and blouses to accommodate the changing weather. In the summer months we tend to use even brighter colours and the pastel colours also come out to play for the summer. Due to the much warmer weather people start to wear shorts, short skirts, t-shirts and kami tops to keep them cool during the hot summer months. When autumn comes round again people turn to rusty oranges and reds to match the changing weather. People start to cover up again and start wearing jumpers and tights. Then in the depths of winter people turn to dark colours in most cases but still bright colours such as reds can brighten up those dark days! Long coats and trousers come out of our wardrobes along with the gloves on the cold days.It is very clear to see that the seasons have a huge impact on our wardrobe and that fashion in built around accommodating people’s needs at certain times.
